New Berlingo, Combo & Rifter

24 September 2018

The new Citroën Berlingo, Opel Combo and Peugeot Rifter are identical models by the French PSA Group. They were premiered at the Commercial Vehicles IAA in Hannover and Düsseldorf REHACARE where the Berlingo, converted into a wheelchair accessible vehicle by AMF-Bruns, was presented for the first time.

Berlingo, Combo and Rifter with short wheelbases (L1) are now available. The L2 models with long wheelbases will only become available in late autumn. Both variants are convertible for wheelchair access with a rear cutout.

Equipped with three AMF-Bruns Smartseats, the short wheelbase model, despite the conversion, is still a fully-fledged 5-seater. The Berlingo/Combo/Rifter offers a significant advantage: a quick-release fastener allows the second row seats to be removed individually. For smaller wheelchair the centre seat can easily be slid forward without the need to remove the seat. For larger wheelchairs, the centre seat can easily be removed. Conversion of the long wheelbase L2 allows for the installation of three AMF-Bruns single seats and two extra tip & fold seats. This provides room in the vehicle for seven people or alternatively for five and one wheelchair. AMF-Bruns carries out the conversion of both variants with European type approval.
